Versilia and Surroundings

The area which includes the Riviera and the Versilia hinterland is purely geared up for tourists as it has a long golden beach and lively nightlife, thanks to the numerous nightclubs and the historical discos overlooking the sea.
Viareggio with its Liberty walk and its famous Carnival; Pietrasanta, the world famous center for marble work, and Torre del Lago, where Giacomo Puccini lived and is now laid to rest, are three gems in this unique area.
The city of Lucca is just 30 kilometers away- known as the City of the Hundred Churches and an open-air museum; and also Pisa with its famous Piazza dei Miracoli and leaning tower, the Duomo and the Baptistery.
